Weekend Agenda: Chelsea Gallery Walk

There is a zero percent chance of rain on Saturday, and I have spring fever! One of my favorite activities is walking around Chelsea, checking out the latest gallery shows. I totally recommend it! Here's a few to catch.

Favorite of the Week: Tara Donovan

Tara Donovan uses everyday often throw-away materials like plastic cups, straws, and Mylar strips in repetition to create extraordinarily beautiful sculptures. Her work transcends craft projects both in scale and complexity of form and patterning. Although her sculptures often fill a room, her current exhibition is of wall-mounted, domestic scale pieces. In this work, uncountable stacked cards are transformed into gorgeous two-dimensional patterns. This show blew me away, and I could easily imagine this work in many of my clients’ homes!
