Jerry Garcia Sale | New York
A client came to me with a painting executed by Jerry Garcia in the 1960s. I knew this unusual piece needed just the right venue to find a good buyer. We ended up selling it in a music memorabilia sale and met our target price.
“Amy helped us sell a painting that Jerry Garcia had painted for my mother in the 1960s. Since it was a gift, I did not have an invoice, and Amy arranged for me to give a legal affidavit that told the personal history of the piece, which improved its value. She explored a number of sales options, and we settled on an up-and-coming auction house that focuses on music memorabilia. Amy and I were able to attend the auction, which was exciting, and we achieved the price we were hoping for! I couldn't have done this without her expertise and ability to negotiate, and I was so pleased with how the sale turned out.”
