I adore the Keltie Ferris show that is on view at Mitchell-Innes & Nash uptown through May 6. I love the bright colors and innovative process, and I can't get over how good these pieces look on the wall. Plus, since they are at a reasonable price point, a whole row of them isn't out of the question. Keltie makes these pieces by coating her body with oil and pressing herself onto the paper. She then creates the image by applying pigment powder to the oil. A little bit Warhol; a little bit Yves Klein -- the result is fantastic.
