Tuesday under Ten: Meghann Riepenhoff

Every Tuesday I post a work of art I love priced under $10K. This week: The Meghann Riepenhoff show at Yossi Milo Gallery is stunning and all but the largest pieces are priced under $10,000. Her work is technically photography since she's using a photo-sensitive paper and an exposure, but she's working without a camera or film.  Using a cyanotype emulsion (a nineteenth-century photographic technique), Riepenhoff employs uncontrollable natural elements -- including rain, ocean, and sediment -- on Bainbridge Island near Seattle to create beautiful, flowing organic forms. I can't get over these! If you'd like to see the show in person, please get in touch!
